Retraction, Correction and Withdrawal Policy

Retraction, Correction and Withdrawal Policy

The Journal of Global Economy is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. In cases where significant errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate corrective action in accordance with accepted scholarly publishing standards.

The journal follows ethical recommendations provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Retraction of Articles

A published article may be retracted if:

• there is clear evidence of plagiarism
• data fabrication or falsification is identified
• the findings are unreliable due to major errors
• the article has been previously published elsewhere (duplicate publication)
• unethical research practices are discovered

If an article is retracted, a retraction notice will be published in the journal explaining the reasons for the retraction. The original article will remain available online but will be clearly marked as retracted.

Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)

If minor errors are identified that do not affect the overall findings or conclusions of the article, the journal may publish a correction notice.

Corrections may include:

• typographical errors
• author affiliation errors
• minor data or formatting issues

Such corrections will be published as Erratum or Corrigendum and will be linked to the original article.

Article Withdrawal

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript before publication if valid reasons are provided. The editor will evaluate the request and decide whether withdrawal is appropriate.

Once an article has been formally published, withdrawal is generally not permitted except in cases requiring retraction.

Handling Ethical Concerns

If ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct arise regarding a published article, the editorial team will conduct an investigation following established academic publishing standards. Appropriate action, including correction or retraction, will be taken when necessary.
