Aims and Scope

Journal of Global Economy (JGE) is a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on Development Studies, with economics as a broad disciplinary foundation. The journal publishes research addressing the economic, social, institutional and policy dimensions of development at local, regional, national and global levels.

The scope includes, but is not limited to, development economics, international trade and development, public finance, poverty and inequality, education and human development, health and development, agriculture and rural development, regional development, international business, and the economic environment of business and public policy. The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, applied and policy-oriented research that contributes to understanding contemporary development challenges and their economic implications.

Peer Review

Research articles and other scholarly research manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Editorials, commentaries, conference-related contributions, and other non-research or invited contributions may follow a different editorial assessment process and are not necessarily subject to double-blind peer review. The review or editorial assessment applied to a submission is determined according to the type and purpose of the contribution.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers around the world and aims to promote scholarly dialogue on economic issues affecting both developed and developing economies.

The journal is published by the Research Centre for Social Sciences (RCSS) and follows internationally recognized standards of academic publishing ethics.

The Journal of Global Economy follows the ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics.
