Abstract

In the present study an attempt has been made to highlight the various business activities and marketing of product by Tharu tribal people. The development of human resources in the tribal areas is the most important element in the rapid industrialisation and is an adjunct of the much needed occupational diversification so as to relieve pressure on land in tribal areas. The study area lies in the Nighasan Tahsil of Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. The study area comprises of 41 villages. The study covers all the 144 respondents who were involved in any kind of entrepreneurial activity in the study area. The respondents were engaged in various type of business activities but were not aware of all the organised marketing strategies.
