Abstract

Urbanisation searches all ways for development of a region. There are so many causes on account of which the process of urbanisation can be occurred and it is measured in terms of many demographic dimensions. Objective: The objective of the paper is to explore the actual causes of urbanisation in State. Method and Materials: The paper is an outcome of the research based on secondary data gathered from different official reports, Census Reports, books, articles and websites. Result and Discussion: Urbanisation is discussed in different angles on the basis of census data from 1961 to 2011. Conclusion: The urbanisation in the State appears not only to be the outcome of complex interactions of internal socio-economic and demographic forces of the indigenous societies, but also the arrival of outside people coming from different states of India for the purpose of business and jobs.
